[Policy] Bush's New Energy Proposal - Solar Power

We Need Different Energy On Monday, February 21, President Bush outlined his energy propposals aiming to steer the nation away from depending too much on foreign imported oil.

Currently the US refineries are getting 60% of oil from foreign nations where some of these nations have unstable government that have fundamental differences with America. As Bush addressed "It creates a national security issue and we're held hostage for energy by foreign nations that may not like us".

One of the proposals seeks to increase investment in development of clean electric power sources and the Bush's tour to clean power producers including United Solar Ovonic plant which makes electricity-generating solar panels.
