Stem Cell Stocks:

• StemCells Inc. (STEM): shares of Palo Alto, CA based stem-cell based therapies developer surged 8.43% or 30 cents to $3.86 per share as stem cell firms are on broad rally. The rally reduced the overall loss of the stock to 1.53% as the coverage began in mid December at $3.92 per share.

China Stocks:
